Buzz Briefs: Jon Hamm, Mark Ruffalo

Hamm To Play Fey Love Interest On "30 Rock"

Jon Hamm, who plays advertising executive Don Draper on AMC's "Mad Men," is temporarily trading the offices of Sterling Cooper for NBC's "30 Rock."

The actor will portray the love interest of Tina Fey character Liz Lemon.

Could it last?

"I just finished a couple of episodes, and I'll go back in the new year and do another one of those, and then we'll see what happens," Hamm said Tuesday at a benefit for the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television.

Mark Ruffalo's Brother Shot In Beverly Hills

A publicist for Mark Ruffalo says the actor's brother is fighting for his life after being shot in Beverly Hills.

Jessica Kolstad, publicist for the "Zodiac" actor, confirmed that 39-year-old Scott Ruffalo, a hairstylist, was found early Monday with a gunshot wound to the head.

Beverly Hills police spokesman Lt. Tony Lee would say only that "suspicious activity" had taken place at the location and time of the shooting, which was first reported by ETonline.

Besides "Zodiac," Mark Ruffalo has appeared in "Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind," "You Can Count on Me," "13 Going on 30" and this year's "Blindness."

Jazmine Sullivan Hits It Big With 5 Grammy Nods

Jazmine Sullivan's first song was a No. 1 hit on the R&B and hip-hop charts, and her raspy voice has drawn her comparisons to Lauryn Hill. Still, the singer-songwriter was struggling for name recognition in a crowded field of music newcomers.

The Recording Academy just made it easier for her. On Wednesday, it nominated her for five Grammys, including best new artist. Her nominations match veterans like John Mayer and Alison Krauss.

And she's only 21.

Besides the best new artist nod - which pits her against the Jonas Brothers, U.K. songstresses Adele and Duffy and country act Lady Antebellum - Sullivan's CD, "Fearless," was nominated for best contemporary R&B album. She was also nominated for best female R&B vocal for "Need U Bad," best traditional R&B vocal for "In Love With Another Man," and best R&B song for "Bust Your Windows."

Aguilera: Another Working Mom On The Red Carpet

It's hard to be a working mom, even for Christina Aguilera.

The 27-year-old pop star said she's navigating the "balancing act" she expected when she took on parenthood with her husband, Jordan Bratman.

"I wasn't going to give up who I was before I had the baby," Aguilera said on the red carpet outside the Nokia Theatre, where she performed Wednesday during the "Grammy Nominations Concert Live!"

"It's important to stay true to that as an example - also for my son to find out what his goals are, what he's passionate about doing, so it's sort of leading by example in that sense," she said. "It's a tough thing. I had a moment leaving him today to get ready for tonight of missing him, but every working mom goes through it. They know what it feels like."

Aguilera performed "I Loves You Porgy" from George Gershwin's "Porgy and Bess."

They agreed to an uncontested marriage. McDermott, who starred in the legal series "The Practice," filed for divorce in May.

The couple, who have two daughters together, separated in 2007.

Madonna: Don't Cry For Me Argentina, I'm Still Performing

Madonna has postponed the first of four shows in Argentina.

Representatives of River Plate Stadium say they have postponed the pop star's opening concert at the request of the production company. She will still perform as scheduled in Buenos Aires on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.

Local news media are reporting that some of Madonna's sound equipment hasn't arrived due to flight delays, so the concert could be rescheduled for Monday.

Madonna kicked off the Latin American leg of her "Sticky & Sweet" world tour last week in Mexico City. From Buenos Aires she heads to Chile and Brazil.

Photog Claims Chris Brown & Rihanna's Bodyguards Roughed Him Up

A photographer with tbt*, a St. Petersburg alternative publication, is suing R&B singers Chris Brown and Rihanna, saying their bodyguards beat him and broke his camera.

Luis Santana on Wednesday filed the $1 million lawsuit, which also names the bodyguards and a St. Petersburg club where the attack allegedly occurred May 6. Santana says the bodyguards tore off his shirt, knocked him down and repeatedly kicked him. He's seeking compensation for his $3,000 camera, photos that were lost, injuries and emotional distress.

Brown's attorney, Kenneth Meiselas, denies the singer or his security were involved in the alleged incident.

The Times Publishing Co., which also produces the St. Petersburg Times, owns tbt*. The St. Petersburg Times is not joining the lawsuit.

Kid Rock Upset At Judge's Ruling

Kid Rock is upset that he can't pick the good deed that will serve as his punishment for a brawl at a restaurant in the state of Georgia.

In a post on his Web site, the rocker blasts a judge for denying his request to serve his 80 hours of community service by performing for U.S. troops stationed in the Middle East.

"Apparently he thinks it's more important that I do something else rather than sing, shake hands, take pictures and spend time with the men and women who put themselves in harms (sic) way to protect the very freedom he and all of us live by," the singer wrote in a holiday message posted on his site.
