There were dozens of postings on militant Islamist websites commenting on the Iraqi journalist's throwing of shoes at President George W. Bush during a press conference Sunday. The journalist, a correspondent for al Baghdadia TV, was hailed by forum members and labelled a hero. Many of the commentators joked about the incident, including one suggesting that President Bush had undergone a "shoe-dodging" training, which helped him avert the shoes. On al Ansar Chatroom on paltalk, fellow participant compared the incident to the "satin stoning" ritual performed during the Haj.
