Bundle Up In Style
Fashion consultant Alison Deyette explained to CBS News This Morning how to keep warm in style, as some young women and men modeled the latest in outwear from New York City's Central Park.
Your coat is not just armor against the blustery weather, it's the first thing people notice about you, so be sure to make a good first impression, says Deyette.
This season's coats all fall around the knee. They have the warmth of a coat, the ease of a jacket and the versatility for wearing to work or for play. But there are plenty of other options, from comfy warm wraps to ponchos, she adds.
Just remember to choose your coat(s) wisely because it's a big investment. Look for well-made coats that will last a few seasons, she suggests.
The following are some of Deyette's suggestions:

Poncho: Cozy ponchos and blanket coats are one of this season's key pieces.
Puffy and quilted: Sporty, puffy quilted coats and vests continue to be a hot trend. They not only look great, but they also provide extra warmth for cold days, she says.
Long coats: Belted coats were seen all over the fall runways. The key to this modernized trench is a thick belt worn slightly higher than your natural waist. A cinched waist also adds a sexy flair, she notes.
Most of the models walked with a dog. All the pooches are up for adoption from New York City's Center for Animal Care and Control. Visit its Web site at www.allny.com.
