Americans are no strangers to wardrobe malfunctions.

In fact, some of us are still recuperating from Janet Jackson's breast being exposed at the Super Bowl XXVII in 2004.

But last weekend at the World Championships, the Brits got their fill when British bobsledder Gillian Cooke's skin-tight bobsledding pants split in half as she bent over, exposing her G-string and bottom.

Unaware of the tear and the frigid air, Cooke was focused on her run and continued to stretch.

Onlookers and an official's concentration was visibly broken, however.

The official behind her tried to be discrete and fight off the laughter, but the incident was too embarrassing to fend off.

According to The Daily Mail, Cooke and Nicola Minichiello still manged to finish seventh at the championships which took place in St Moritz, Switzerland over the weekend.

Cooke, an Edinburgh native and Sheffield-based Minichiello are due to fly the flag at the Olympics in Vancouver, Canada in February.

The dynamic duo won a gold medal from last year's World Championships in Lake Placid.
