Blogroll Call

While our Blogroll went through some revamping a couple months ago, some began began taking notice of the changes over the weekend. And, judging from some of the comments we've received, there's some misunderstanding of this issue. So let's clear that up.

As we said when the Blogroll launched, the list will change from time to time. There are plenty of lengthy lists of links out there but we wanted ours to remain relatively short while providing a good mix of interesting voices, opinion and industry news that, taken together, would give an good sense of the broader discussion happening in the blogosphere.

Some have complained our decision to replace one of our previous Blogroll sites, Little Green Footballs, shows some kind of bias on our part. I'm not sure how that squares with our list. Yes, LGF is off after a four-month run, but Michelle Malkin is now included. Sure, Daily Kos remains, but so does Powerline. We've added The Anchoress and Crooks and Liars as well because we think they bring interesting voices to the party.

The Blogroll won't stay static. Some sites that have been taken off will return in the future, and we'll add some new ones to the mix as well. We want the Blogroll to be a useful representation of the conversations happening on the Web in general, and about the media in specific. As always, we're open to any suggestions about additions, so feel free to drop us a line or weigh in on the comments section.
