On May 4, 2001 Bonny Lee Bakley was shot to death. Actor Robert Blake remains in jail awaiting trial for the crime. Months before, Bonny had married Blake, with whom she had a child.

But Harland Braun, Blake's lawyer, says someone other than his client had motive to kill Bakley. Bonny made money by preying on lonely men in a lucrative scam. She put personal ads in pornographic magazines; once a man showed interest, she would send nude photos of herself in exchange for cash.
