Ali & Jack: Odd Pairing Is Fun
Ali Wentworth and Jack Ford will stop by The Early Show Friday to discuss their new talk show, "Living it Up! With Ali & Jack."
The two say that although they have the same format as rival talk shows — host chat, celebrity interviews, health, fitness, fashion and makeovers — their personalities and chemistry will separate them from the pack.
Audiences can call them the odd couple of the talk show circuit, but Wentworth and Ford say their pairing works for them.
Ford is an Emmy Award-winner, anchor, correspondent, attorney, husband and father to a 21-year-old and a 17-year-old. In September 1999, he joined ABC News as anchor/correspondent for Good Morning America and 20/20. Prior to that, he spent five years at NBC News, serving as co-anchor of the Today weekend editions, and as chief legal correspondent for the NBC network.
Ford says he made the decision to try his hand on a talk show after his wife suffered a serious accident. He realized he wanted to take a different challenge, which will allow him to spend more time with his family and have fun.
Wentworth is the comedian who has made audiences laugh for years. She may be the recognizable to some for her dead-on impersonations of Cher, Cindy Crawford and Sharon Stone on FOX's "In Living Color."
Recently, Wentworth appeared in "Office Space," the remake of the classic film "The Love Bug," "Trial & Error," "Jerry Maguire," "Daddy," "Big Packages" and "The Real Blonde."
She says the show will take advantage of its large studio audience as often as it can.
"Living it Up! With Ali & Jack" will launch Sept. 15.
