Adjusting on the Fly

After the "Early Show" broadcast, Dave hit the pavement, talking to people. He met a couple of amazing brothers who gave him a lift to Colorado.

Dave's plans have been changing by the minute: When we left Albuquerque, he was going to catch an overnight train out of Denver. But as we were driving the six-plus hours, he realized we wouldn't make the train, so he shifted gears.

Through Twitter, he found a family willing to let him work -- in their barn, and spent the night in Highlands Ranch, Colo.

Today, he heads, by car, to Iowa.
