Believe it or not, spring has almost sprung. So this is a great time to update your look with a new purse.
But, how can you find a high style bag, without a high price tag, that's perfect for your needs?
Michelle Lee, executive editor of In Touch Weekly, shared some advice on The Saturday Early Show.
She also brought along a whole slew of spring bags, many of which were inspired by the looks celebrities love.
What To Look For In A Pocketbook:
Pockets: a cell phone pocket, a key pocket and a zipper pocket inside the bag. That way, you don't need to rummage through your bag every time your phone rings.Hardware and Details: Zippers, clasps and other hardware are instant clues on how expensive or cheap a bag is. Make sure hardware feels substantial. Also look for other details, like interesting handles or textured leather.Size: You want something substantial enough to carry essentials but not so huge that you'll lose everything. Giant bags are really in this season.Fabric: Leather should be durable and stylish, Patent leather is really good; it's very hard to tell if it's fake or real but inexpensive (more so than with other kinds of leather). Some nylon is OK and lightweight, but it depends on the style and it depends on the feel.Color: You don't have to choose black or brown. The best bags can take you from day to night, and sometimes that means color. Here are some of the bags featured on The Saturday Early Show:
