Blood platelet donations are urgently needed this time of year

Platelets form clots to help people stop bleeding when they get a cut or scrape, and the body constantly needs to make new ones. Joining Jackie Kostek are Nuvia Orellana of Vitalent Blood Donation’s Naperville Center, and Orin Albrecht, who just completed his 500th platelet donation.
