Two Shot Outside KFC Drive Thru
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Two men were shot outside a KFC drive-through and transported to the hospital on Thursday afternoon, authorities said.
The shooting happened outside the restaurant at Western and Roosevelt.
The victims were transported to Stroger Hospital, according to the Chicago Fire Department.
One of the victims, 24, was struck in the collarbone and thigh. The other victim, 26, was shot in the stomach and forearm.
Both victims had been sitting inside the vehicle when unknown offenders approached on foot and fired shots.
Offenders fled in unknown direction.
The vehicle's license plates were registered to Hertz rental car company.
