Snowfall Predictions For March 2-3 2016
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A Winter Weather advisory has been issued for most of the Chicago area.
The amount of snowfall will vary slightly, depending on where you live. Rush hour is expected to be impacted.
Here is a look at the snowfall, starting late tonight through Thursday afternoon:
MCHENRY, LAKE COUNTIES, IL
This area saw the heavier snowfall earlier this week. This time, towns in the far north and northwest suburbs catch a break, with 1-2 inches expected.
COOK COUNTY, CITY OF CHICAGO
The city has been spared snow during the past two storms. Forecasters expect 2 to 3 inches to fall over much of the city and Cook County suburbs.
WILL, DUPAGE COUNTIES
Similar to city, expect 2 to 3 inches.
NORTHWEST INDIANA
Compared with the 12 inches or more the area got last week, this storm will be minor. About 2 to 3 inches.
FAR WEST OF CHICAGO
An area between Sterling and Joliet, and south to Ottawa may see the heaviest snow, with up to four inches.
