Bears Sign Safety Omar Bolden To 1-Year Deal
(CBS) The Bears have signed safety Omar Bolden to a one-year deal.
Bolden, 27, had been in Chicago for a visit with the Bears, and the contract is for $760,00, the Denver Post reported Thursday. Bolden's spent all four of his NFL seasons with the reigning Super Bowl champion Broncos, for whom he appeared in nine games last season, primarily on special teams. He battled through foot and leg injuries in 2015, with his season ending with a knee sprain in the divisional round.
Bolden played for Bears coach John Fox for three seasons in Denver before Fox left for Chicago in 2015. He figures to be a key member of the Bears' special team units. He had five tackles in 2015 and was also one of Denver's best kick and punt returners.
The Broncos selected Bolden in the fourth round of the 2012 draft.
