Joe Walsh Claims Credit For Donald Trump Jr. Skittles Tweet
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Donald Trump Jr.'s tweet comparing Syrian refugees to Skittles has drawn widespread condemnation.
But a former congressman from Illinois is taking credit for it.
One-term U.S. Rep. Joe Walsh took to Twitter to claim the idea as his own, and thanking Trump Jr. for agreeing with it.
The Chicago-based Wrigley Co., which owns the Skittle brand, offered a terse reponse.
Many posted images of children caught in the horror of violence.
