Lakeview Condo Robbed With Owners Inside

(CBS) – Caught on camera: Three burglars entered a couple's North Lakeview condo while the owners were home.

CBS 2's Audrina Bigos talks with one of the victims.

One of the suspects looks right at the camera, before two other men walk into the elevator with him, with a purse, according to surveillance video.

The guys are seen rummaging through it as the elevator goes down to another floor. They go through the wallet, looking at the cash and cards and IDs. One of them slips the wallet into his pocket before getting off the elevator and ditching the purse.

"It was routine for them. They didn't care if anyone was home. They had a mission, they weren't nervous about it," says the woman whose purse was stolen. CBS 2 is not revealing her identity.

The men entered her condo through an unlocked door, while she and her husband were inside. The couple didn't see the men, but their dog started barking.

"It's scary. Your home is supposed to be a safe place," the woman says.

Minutes before, in surveillance video, you can see one of men letting the two others in the front door of the building, which is supposed to be accessed by a key fob.

Police are investigating.
