Bank Robbed In Clearing
(STMW) -- Someone robbed a bank Saturday morning in the Clearing neighborhood on the Southwest Side.
The non-takeover robbery occurred at 10:27 a.m. at the Byline Bank branch at 6257 S. Austin, according to a statement from the FBI. The robber threatened that he had a weapon but did not show one.
The suspect is described as a white man in his early 20s standing 5-foot-9 to 6-foot with "spiky hair" and a slender build, the FBI said. He wore a blue jacket, white and orange gym shoes, sunglasses, a black knit hat, and a white bandana around his face.
He was last seen heading north in an alley near the bank with an unspecified amount of proceeds from the robbery, the FBI said.
