Three Swans Head To Iowa To Be Released Into The Wild After Rehabilitation At Maryland Zoo
BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Three swans are on their way to their new home after being rehabilitated at the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore.
The trio underwent their final medical check and are now on their way to Iowa where they'll be released into the wild.
Zoo officials said because of conservation programs like this, the trumpeter swan population has been successfully bolstered back up in their home ranges.
They said they are proud to be part of this achievement.
