Trucking's future takes shape as self-driving semi-trucks prepare to drive FedEx packages

A lack of truck drivers is partially behind lengthy delivery delays in the U.S., and the industry expects a shortage of 100,000 drivers by 2023, when the startup Aurora plans to have autonomous trucks begin driving FedEx packages.
