Obama: Fight for LGBT equality at a "turning point"
"From Minnesota to Maryland, from the United States Senate to the NBA, it's clear we're reaching a turning point" in the fight for LGBT equality, President Obama told a group of gay rights advocates during a speech marking LGBT pride month. "We've become not just more accepting, we've become more loving as a country, as a people. Hearts and minds change with time; laws do too."
