Excessive sitting linked to deadly diseases

More than one half of the average person's waking life involves sedentary activity. In a new study published in the Annals of Internal Medicine, extensive sitting significantly increases your chances of contracting cardiovascular disease, cancer, and diabetes. As CBS chief medical correspondent Dr. Jon LaPook reports for CBSN, exercise helps, but does not eliminate the negative effects of too much sitting.
