America's epidemic of sleep deprivation could be costing us millions

All the artificial light of modern life may have a dark side: It’s been implicated in America’s epidemic of sleep deprivation. Yet lack of sleep is being tied to more and more serious health problems and the CDC has found that 35 percent of American adults aren't getting the recommended minimum of seven hours of sleep each night. National Geographic Magazine explores the topic in its September edition’s cover story, “The Science of Sleep.” Senior editor Robert Kunzig joins “CBS This Morning: Saturday” to discuss the recent "explosion of science" on our sleep habits.
