SFMTA Hikes Fees And Fines For Muni And Parking Starting July 1
SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) — In order to keep up with rising costs, the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency will impose new prices for fares, fees and fines starting July 1.
The SFMTA is raising Muni Adult fast passes by $2 and most parking fines by $3. An expired meter in Downtown will cost $75, while in other place in the city will run $65. The cost of removing a boot will be $312 and parking in a disabled zone will cost a violator $900.

SFTMA spokesman Paul Rose said that the city is making a cost-of-living adjustment that's not unnoticeable but, unlike before, it's not as severe when fees and fines would remain the same for years then jump significantly.
"These program adjustments keep fare increases incremental and predictable and our fees and fines will increase on pace with costs," he said.
