Magnitude 5.6 Earthquake Strikes Off California North Coast
MENLO PARK (CBS SF) -- A moderately strong earthquake struck off the Northern California coast Friday evening, the USGS reports.
The quake occurred around 8:30 p.m. and registered magnitude 5.6 with an epicenter about 73 miles west of Ferndale in Humboldt County.
No reports of damage or tsunami alerts have been received.
