Motorcyclist killed in San Jose crash

A male motorcyclist died due to a traffic collision in San Jose's Oak Canyon neighborhood Wednesday night, police said.

The crash occurred in the area of Camden Avenue and Canna Lane around 11:17 p.m., the San Jose Police Department said.

A man riding 2003 Suzuki motorcycle was heading south on Camden when he lost control and crashed, police said. 

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity will be released by the county coroner's office after notifying his family.

It was the 40th fatal collision and the 41st traffic death of 2023, according to the department.
