Man Plunges To His Death At San Francisco International Airport Terminal
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A man was killed Monday morning when he fell off the mezzanine level of San Francisco International Airport's Terminal No. 3 and landed in the baggage area below, officials said.
Doug Yakel, the airport's public information officer, described the man as being in his late 50-early 60s, but did not known if he was a visitor to the airport or an arriving passenger.
The San Mateo County Coroner's Office has identified the man as 53-year-old Dale Finn of South San Francisco. Authorities have ruled his death as a suicide.
The fatal fall took place at about 8:45 a.m. and was witnessed by hundreds of passengers who had just arrived at the airport and were collecting their bags.
