UPDATE: Toddler Run Over In Driveway Improving In Hospital
ELK GROVE (CBS13) -- The toddler who was accidentally run over and dragged earlier this week when her uncle backed out of the driveway is improving in the hospital, according to Elk Grove police.
The 18-month old girl is in stable, responsive condition, according to Elk Grove Police Department spokesman Officer Christopher Trim. She is recovering from very serious injuries, but her condition is much better than initial reports, he said.
The girl was playing in the driveway of her Elk Grove home in the 9200 block of Rushing Creek Way on Monday afternoon when her uncle backed out in his BMW sedan and accidentally hit her.
