Chicago Fire Pizza

2416 J Street
Sacramento, Ca

When you walk into Chicago Fire Restaurant, it's as if you have walked into a time warp. Picture this: 1946, Downtown Chicago, oh look there is Frank Sinatra. Ok, maybe you won't see ol' blue eyes, but you will experience some of the best, most authentic "Chicago" style deep dish pizzas in town. It has a great setting to put you in the mood, décor reminiscent of the period and huge windows to allow the cool downtown breezes in while you wait for your gooey masterpiece to hit the table (it takes about 30 minutes to bake). Enjoy fresh toppings, earthy sauce, and a crust worthy of writing home about. Chicago Fire is now open for lunch, and the place will take you back to the old country quicker than you can say "mangi".

luigi's slice pizza

Luigi's Slice and Fun Garden

1050 20th Street Ste #150
Sacramento, Ca

Luigi's is the kind of place that satisfies all of your ravenous pizza cravings. The favorite is the pesto/tomato New York style slice. The slices are bigger than your head, and trust us when we say you will leave feeling you ate an entire pie. The crust is crispy, the sauce is rich and the toppings are typical of any good joint. You can buy by the slice or a full pie, great for lunch or dinner. Luigi's also boasts great live entertainment, often showcasing local bands. They're also known for having great beer choices on tap.

Zelda's Original Gourmet

1415 21st Street
Sacramento, Ca

Zelda's is a rich part of Sacramento history -- an institution if you will -- with its eclectic décor and an array of pizza that screams "eat me". The crust isn't your typical thin, blah type; it's made with cornmeal, which makes this place decidedly different from the pack. Think pizza with an attitude when eating at Zelda's. Not the average run-of-the-mill menu here.

8519 Bond Road
Elk Grove, Ca

Paesano's made the cut because not only does it have a varying menu of Italian favorites, like pasta, and pizza, it also has an amazing atmosphere. It is relaxed, unpretentious, and has a great outdoor patio for the cool Sacramento summer nights. Kids even get pizza dough to play with while you wait for your order!

Ciro's Pizza Café

241 Blue Ravine Road
Folsom, Ca

Ciro's Pizza Café in Folsom is a bit out of the way, but totally worth the drive up Highway 50 to indulge your insatiable pizza cravings. The flavor of this pizza is unmatched by any in town. Their pizza is full in rich flavors, fresh ingredients, generous toppings, and a real tomato sauce. The menu is fun. With pizza names like Foghorn, Bahama Mama, and the A-HA, you just can't go wrong.
