Police arrested a 19-year-old student at De Anza College on suspicion of planning a Columbine-style attack. Authorities confiscated 20 Molotov cocktails, 30 pipe bombs, guns and ammunition.

An eighth-grade girl is suspended after school officials learned she had allegedly created a "hit list" of classmates. Officials say she had no guns or plans to actually kill anybody.
