Woman shouts "pretend it's Obama" during Santorum target practice
WEST MONROE, La. -- A woman shouted "pretend it's Obama" during target practice by Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum at a shooting range here. The Secret Service said it would look into whether the incident posed a legitimate threat.
Santorum was about 75 meters away, wearing soundproof earmuffs, and said he didn't hear the shout. "It's absurd," he told reporters afterward. "No, we're not pretending it's anybody, but shooting pistols. It's a very terrible and horrible remark and I'm glad I didn't hear it."
Santorum and other GOP candidates were campaigning in Louisiana in advance of the state's primary on Saturday.
