Who is Alleged White House Crasher Carlos Allen?

The world is starting to learn more about Carlos Allen, the D.C. party promoter who has been identified as the third party crasher at the White House's first state dinner.

Allen, like Tareq and Michaele Salahi, appears to enjoy the spotlight. He is the CEO of HUSH Society Magazine and The HushGroup, which he describes as "an exclusive and luxurious private social club whose members enjoy unparalleled access to elite movers and shakers." (At left, check out a YouTube video showing HUSH Magazine's 2009 Halloween Party.) He has posted photos of himself online with actor and rapper Ice Cube, actor Jeremy Piven and Gen. David Petraeus and calls his event space in D.C. the "HushGalleria Mansion."

Allen denies that he attended the Indian State Dinner. But others say he has indicated that he did indeed attend, and a Congressional source told the Washington Post Allen's name appears in documents related to the Secret Service's investigation of security breakdowns at the state dinner.

6056206The Secret Service released a statement yesterday saying that an individual came to the dinner from a hotel with a delegation of Indian CEOs who had been invited. The individual "went through all required security measures along with the rest of the official delegation at the hotel, and boarded a bus/van with the delegation guests en route to the White House," the agency said.

Allen, like the Salahis, apparently mingled with guests during the cocktail reception that proceeded the dinner but left before guests sat down to eat. An acquaintance of his told the Post that he posted photos from the event on Facebook but took them down after the Salahi scandal broke.
