Washington Unplugged: Fight Over Climate Change Bill

On Wednesday's edition of "Washington Unplugged," two people with very different perspectives on the climate change bill now being considered by Congress sparred over the value of the legislation.

"This bill would be the biggest tax increase in the history of the world," said Myron Ebell of the Competitive Enterprise Institute. "It would destroy jobs, it would destroy economic activity, it would impoverish people, and I think it would eventually make America a second-rate economic power."

"This is the same scare tactics we've been seeing from the oil industry and energy companies for years and years," responded Jeremy Symons of the National Wildlife Foundation. He went on to say that Ebell's group has "taken two million dollars from Exxon Mobil over the past decade."
