Thompson Shows His Lighter Side

While Senator Thompson is usually pretty serious on the campaign trail, he's been letting his lighter side show through recently. Visiting a gun shop in downtown Missouri Valley, Iowa, he found a cardboard cutout of one of his favorite actors, John Wayne. The former actor couldn't help himself, so he moseyed on over to the Duke, put his arm around him, and did his best John Wayne impression.

At another stop, Thompson was asked if he was getting Sioux City déjà vu because he's been there three times. He said he has the song "Sioux City Sue" running through his head, then proceeded to sing a little bit of the 1940's standard.
