The painting Washington Crossing the Delaware is one of the nation's most famous paintings. However, at least one school district in Georgia thinks it needs to be censored.
It seems the generalÂ's watch is positioned in such a way that educators fear kids might mistake it for something a little less innocent: Washington's genitalia.
So, they found a paint that matched WashingtonÂ's britches and put teachersÂ' aides to work for two weeks "fixing" the offending fob in more than 2,300 history books.
CBS Affliate Station WGNX-TV reports many students said they did not see any reason to censor the painting.
