The iPaq From Compaq
Compaq's new iPaq does away with the typical ISA and PCI expansion slots...including instead swappable drives, USB expandability and built in networking. CEO Michael Capellas...

The iPaq is small and sleek...and will be sold on the web and by phone at prices starting at under five hundred dollars. That doesn't include a monitor, but it does include a zippy 500 MHz Celeron processor. Capellas says, the radical change is just the start...
"It's how do I get content, connectivity, everywhere, all the time in the end user's hands and the name of the game is really changing. The kinds of things we used to build, which were devices that attached to networks in the older days....as we move into the Internet days... there is really a redefinition of how people want to attach to the Internet and the things they can do."
