The face of HealthCare.gov disappears

The HealthCare.gov home page underwent a notable redesign over the weekend as the unidentified woman's face that adorned the site during its botched rollout has disappeared.

The site now features a series of links with "4 Ways to Get Marketplace Coverage," which point to the four ways to sign up or get more information.

In the wake of the site's glitches, several news outlets became curious as to who the woman was who's smiling face became identified with the buggy website.

BuzzFeed kicked off the search last week asking various organizations involved with the building of the site about the identity of the woman.

A spokesman from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services told BuzzFeed, "The woman featured on the website signed a release for us to use the photo, but to protect her privacy, we will not share her personal or contact info with anyone."

While the search remains, at least those frustrated by the site's glitches won't be cursing the smiling woman on the home page anymore.
