The Cure In The Kitchen
In the kitchen of The Saturday Early Show this weekend, Joey Green talks about his latest book, "Joey Green's Amazing Kitchen Cures," and shows viewers how to use brand-name products in unusual ways, to clean and to "cure."
Green has lots of tips. For example, he says you can use Jet-Dry to clean a variety of household items. He suggests Crisco to prevent diaper rash; French's Mustard to relieve cold congestion; Jell-O to deodorize smelly feet; and Pampers Diapers to help prevent heat exhaustion.
According to Green, you can also beat a backache with Adolph's Meat Tenderizer; end insomnia with Aunt Jemima Original Syrup; cure a cold with Gold's Horseradish; stop arthritis pain with Heinz Apple Cider Vinegar; get rid of headaches with Gatorade; prevent allergy attacks with Dannon Yogurt; arrest acne with Colgate Toothpaste; and soothe aching feet with Alka-Seltzer.
Green is also the author of "Joey Green's Magic Brands," "Polish Your Furniture with Panty Hose," and "Clean Your Clothes with Cheez Whiz," as well as more than 20 other titles.
