The Army of Al Islam Warns Of Plan To Reinforce Iranian Influence In Gaza

An article published by an online militant Islamist news service claimed that the militant Palestinian group the Army of al Islam warned of an Iranian plan to tarnish the image of militants by carrying out attacks and attributing them to them, "just like in Iraq and Lebanon." In a statement released earlier this month, the group had warned the militant Palestinian group Hamas, which has control over Gaza, against the arrest of militants there and threatened to retaliate against the "injustice." The Army of al Islam also accused Hamas of receiving financial, technical and logistical support from Iran. It also claimed Iran recently supplied Hamas with a new telecommunication network.
