(CBS/AP) KILGORE, Texas - You can help take a bite out of crime in east Texas...if you can lead police to whoever stole 16 cases of frozen pizzas.
That's not just one cold case, but 16.
Kilgore police say the theft happened early Monday when the locks were broken off a delivery vehicle at a frozen pizza distribution center. Police say the suspects fled with the pies and
didn't close the door on the truck, so the rest of the frozen cargo thawed in the 100-degree heat, and got ruined.
Police put the theft-plus-damage estimate for all that pizza at about $3,400.
That's a lotta pepperoni.
