Tammy Takes A Bow

With only nine days remaining, fiercely competitive Tammy Leitner, the 29-year-old crime reporter from Mesa, Ariz., was voted out of the Soliantu tribe in a 5-2 vote.

After Robert DeCanio declined to relinquish his Immunity necklace, Tammy became the 10th castaway voted off the island and will return every third night as a member of the jury that will ultimately decide who will take home the title of Sole Survivor.

Tammy's torch was extinguished; she exited Tribal Council, and gave her Final Words, "Even though I knew tonight was coming and it was my turn, it still sucks to be voted off."

“Even though I knew tonight was coming, and it was my turn, it still sucks to be voted off. But you know what? I played this game exactly the way I said I was going to be play it, and I'm proud of the way I played it. I played it tough, I played it aggressive, and never once did I complain, no matter what they threw at me. You know, this game is extremely tough. You can have the best strategy in the world but you're not going to win the game without a whole lot of luck, and I think that's what a lot of it comes down to: luck.

“I didn't come into this game to make friends. I came into this game to win. Unfortunately, that didn't happen, and somewhere along the way I did make a few friends that I will probably end up keeping for years down the line. You know what's funny about this game, is that some of the people who are left don't look like they're going to make it another four days, let alone eight days. They've all complained about how much they miss their family, they want food, they want showers. But you know what: I'd trade places with anyone of them in a heartbeat. This is the game of SURVIVOR and I hope that they have it in them to last the rest of the time, because I'm not so sure they do."

Tribal Council Vote
Tammy Leitner - 5 votes
Vecepia "Vee" Towery - 2 votes
