'Survivor' Kelly's Brush With The Law

One of the remaining castaways on Survivor faces felony charges in North Carolina.

Police say Kelly Wiglesworth, 23, is wanted for the 1995 theft and use of a stolen credit card with a male companion in North Carolina.

CBS affiliate station WFMY reports that Greensboro police have two warrants for her arrest.

Wiglesworth grew up in Greensboro but now lives in Nevada. Her father says a friend asked her to buy some items with a credit card but never told her he stole it. Wiglesworth now works as a guide for river-rafting trips in Nevada.

North Carolina police declined to extradite her on grounds the expense of bringing her back would have been greater than the theft.

Another Survivor member was in the news when the mayor of Franklin, N.H., canceled a Wednesday night City Council meeting to watch Survivor.

Mayor Tony Giunta knows the father of contestant Jenna Lewis well because he was a mayor from 1996 to 1998. He said Jenna Lewis approached him in January after his inaugural speech to compliment him on it.

"She really wants to pursue an acting career. She wants to get into movies," said Giunta.

He is planning to throw a city party for Lewis once the show is off the air.

"Jenna seems like a real go-getter. She catches me as a person that would go to the ends of the earth to be in the spotlight and win a million dollars," said Giunta.
