South Carolina mother finds needle in Halloween candy
(CBS/AP) SUMMERVILLE, S.C. - Sometimes, the problem everyone worries about really happens.
A Summerville woman says she found a syringe and needle in her children's Halloween candy Monday night.
Geny Moringlane says she called police Monday night to report her discovery, but she doesn't know which house added the syringe and needle to the candy.
Moringlane says police told her they could do nothing since she didn't know where the needle was dropped into the bag.
She says the needle was not wrapped, but did have a cap over the tip.
She threw away all the candy the children collected.
