Some Guantanamo Detainees To Go To Europe

A European official says some Guantanamo Bay detainees will be released in Europe - but not to his country.

Ivan Langer, the Czech Minister of Interior, told The Associated Press he believes some European nations will accept Guantanamo detainees, but not his country.

Langer spoke after hosting a meeting of European officials with U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder, who asked them for help in finding homes for those detainees that can be set free.

The top justice officials of several countries met in Prague Tuesday to finalize new treaties on extradition and criminal investigations. Many are pressing the U.S. to supply more information about detainees before accepting them.
