Shiite Group In Iraq Claims Attack On U.S. Base In Baghdad

( )
The Iraqi Shiite militant Islamist group The Brigades of Hezbollah in Iraq has claimed responsibility for a rocket attack on the U.S. base in Baghdad on April 28th 2008 in a video that it has released. Lebanon based pro-Hizbollah Al-Manar TV had reported on May 2nd that the group was behind the attack.

The video, which was under one minute, showed missiles mounted on the back of a truck being fired, setting the truck itself ablaze. Some shots that were allegedly taken simultaneously by a different camera showed the rockets hitting what the group claimed was the U.S. base.

The U.S. department of Defence had reported on its website the "death of three US soldiers on April 28 in Baghdad, after their base was hit with indirect fire."
