Second Cup Cafe: Celtic Tenors

This week, The Saturday Early Show's Second Cup Café has a Celtic flavor. The Celtic Tenors perform selected releases from their new album, "So Strong."

The tenors - not to be confused with the Irish Tenors - are Niall Morris, James Nelson and Matthew Gilsenan. They are all classically trained and have toured the world extensively in roles with leading opera companies.

Niall andJames met while performing in an opera together in Scotland. They decided to start a group with another performer, Paul Hennesy, and made their debut in 1995 in Dublin as the Three Irish Tenors. After only a few months, due to personal commitments, Hennesy withdrew from the group. From here Niall and James recruited Gilsenan, then working as an engineer.

They previously released a self-titled album that reached No. 2 on the UK classical album chart and went to platinum status in Ireland last year.

Their new album, "So Strong" includes 16 tracks, produced by the legendary Mike Moran. The album builds on the Celtic origins of their first album to take on a more mainstream audience with new classical and crossover music.

The Celtic Tenors are scheduled for a United States tour this November.
