ROUNDUP UP OF PREVIOUS COUPLE OF WEEKS....I'm going to resist the temptation to go back and comment on all the stuff I missed while I was gone, but I understand that while I was in Europe pretending that American politics didn't exist, a former Bush press secretary wrote a book admitting that Bush was, um, not entirely forthright in his pre-war dealings with the American public. Needless to say, I'm shocked. But apparently the real news from the past couple of weeks is that Barack and Michelle Obama bumped their fists together at a campaign event. That's news that produces video you can use! And use. And use. But I've only seen it three or four times since I turned the TV back on, so I hope we get another week or two of coverage of this momentous event.
