(CBS) WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Former WPTV weatherman Rob Lopicola was arrested Monday after being accused of having sex with two teenage boys, CBS Miami reports.

Lopicola was charged with unlawful sexual activity with certain minors, lewd and lascivious battery, computer pornography and child exploitation.

Investigators said the arrests were the result of a yearlong investigation. They said Lopicola solicited male encounters on Craigslist and apparently connected with two teens in separate incidents.

Police said the teens at first claimed to be of legal age, but Lopicola reportedly learned their true ages of 15 and 17 and still had a sexual relationship with them.

The relationship with the 15-year-old came to light when investigators gained access to his cell phone, which they allegedly found hundreds of sexually-themed messages, including many from Lopicola. The relationship with the 17-year-old was revealed when the boy's mother found Lopicola hiding in the family's shower.

Lopicola is currently being held in the Palm Beach County Jail without bond. He's scheduled to be back in court Wednesday.
