Q: Why is a goose named 50 Cent?

A goose, though not this one, has been named 50 Cent because of an unusual similarity to the rapper of the same name Joshua Goldman/CNET

(CBS/AP) MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. - The goose currently know as 50 Cent is making a comeback.

Just like its namesake rapper who survived nine gunshots back in 2000, the feathered 50 Cent was shot seven times with a pellet gun, and was brought to a northern Arkansas animal hospital with a damaged wing.

Veterinarian Rob Conner operated on the wounded waterfowl's wing, inserting a metal rod and plastic tube to help the bird heal.

Conner tells The Baxter Bulletin that workers initially wanted to name the wounded goose Tupac, after the late rapper, but they settled on 50 Cent because he recovered from his shooting.

Authorities don't know who shot the goose, but they're looking for an adoptive family.
