President Obama's Schedule Today (10/5/10)

In the morning, President Obama will receive the Presidential Daily Briefing and the Economic Daily Briefing in the Oval Office. He will then meet with senior advisers in the Oval Office.

Later in the morning, the president will sign S.1055, a bill to grant the Congressional Gold Medal, collectively, to the 100th Infantry Battalion and 442nd Regimental Combat Team in recognition of their service during World War II.

In the afternoon, Mr. Obama will join Dr. Jill Biden at the first-ever White House Summit on Community Colleges. The president will join Dr. Biden at the opening plenary session.

Later in the afternoon, the president and the first lady will host the Diplomatic Corps Reception for the foreign diplomatic corps in the East Room.

In the evening, Mr. Obama will address the 2010 Fortune Most Powerful Women Summit at the Mellon Auditorium in Washington to talk about the impact of women in business on the economy.
