President Obama's Schedule Today
President Obama will deliver remarks on the Fiscal Year 2010 Budget this today. Upon receiving the budget this morning, Chairman of the House Budget Committee John Spratt (D-S.C.) said there are some cuts which will not be popular but it is a good start.
Earlier in the morning, Mr. Obama will receive his daily and economic briefings in the Oval Office.
The president will then meet with Rev. Al Sharpton, Mayor Michael Bloomberg, and former Speaker Newt Gingrich to discuss education reform.
This afternoon he will meet with Council of Economic Advisors Chair Christina Romer in the Oval Office and hold a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in the Oval Office.
Of note, the president will also sign a proclamation to make today a National Day of Prayer. Here is more from the White House press office (all times Eastern):
