President Obama's Schedule (8/3/10)

In the morning, President Obama will receive the Presidential Daily Briefing and the Economic Daily Briefing in the Oval Office.

Later in the morning, the president will sign the Fair Sentencing Act in the Oval Office.

In the afternoon, Mr. Obama will host a Town Hall in the East Room as part of his Forum with Young African Leaders. This event will bring 115 young leaders from civil society and the private sector from more than 40 countries across Africa to Washington to meet with their American counterparts and U.S government officials. At the Town Hall, the president will discuss with them their vision for Africa for the next 50 years and the partnerships we can foster between our countries.

Later, the president will meet with Secretary of Defense Gates in the Oval Office.
